Tender Touch Senior Services is proud to partner with the VA’s Homemaker and Home Health Aide (H/HHA) Program to serve veterans in our community. Through this program, we provide compassionate, in-home care that helps eligible veterans remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

Key Features of the VA’s H/HHA Program

Purpose: Supports veterans who need help due to aging, illness, or disability

Services Provided

Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)
Assistance with daily tasks (meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders)

Registered Nurse Oversight

A VA nurse assesses needs and supervises the care plan

Eligibility Requirements

Must be enrolled in VA healthcare and have a clinical need for in-home services

Goal of the Program

To help veterans avoid nursing home placement and support their family caregivers

Customized Care

Services are flexible and can be combined with other VA Home and Community Based Services

How It Works

VA conducts an assessment as well as a TTSS Case Manager
A trained, supervised aide is assigned
Care is delivered in the comfort of the veteran’s home
